The following lists contain book that provide knowledge on various wizarding school subject. There are also books that we believe to be fun to read for HP fans.

 

Books on wizard school subjects
If you are interested in numerology (or just happen to take this subject ;-)) this book will get you started.
This is a very fact based approach to (nordic) runes and a nice difference from the usual esoteric runes guide.
This book covers the celtic runes (ogham) and tree oracle . Since we have learned recently that the birthday trees (-> wand wood!) play a role in HP, this book might be interesting.
This one might come in usefull for your herbology studies...
Take the step from herbology to potions. This book descripes how to make your own brews, potions, tinctures, inks and soaps.
This will help you to complete your star charts...
Learn how to find unicorns, walk your hell hound and what food is best for your pet griffin.
A spellbook. Essential. :-)

 

Books on witchcraft and wizardry & Harry Potter background reading
It is amazing how many hints JKR has hidden in the books. This book points out a lot of them.
The second book. It is really cool to get hints and work out the solutions by yourself. For the dedicated Harry Potter fan.
A collection of really awsome essays written by Harry Potter fans for Harry Potter fans.

 

Books HP fans might enjoy
Basicly this series is also about a young wizard but it is completely different than Harry Potter. I can assure you that you will love Bartimaeus! I could not put that book down!
The storie continues. Watch out for Honorius. He will make your hair stand on end!
Charlie Bone is also a wizard student. Again we see a different approach to the subject in this series. These books are very enjoyable to read. together with a mug of hot chocolate on a rainy day they make life just great. :-D
Charlie bone gets to meet Henry Yewbeam, who came to the present with the help of a time travelling marble.
